Take Advantage of the School Holidays

smiling soccer boysWith the upcoming Easter holiday, your children will have some free time. There’s no better time to make sure that they get in for their biyearly checkup at Nova Smiles Dental. Dentist Dr Jenny Hong is passionate about children’s dentistry and keeps their visits fun, even if they have anxiety about dental care.

A Thorough Checkup of Your Child’s Oral Health

Visiting the dentist isn’t just about making sure that your child’s oral health is in good shape. Their speech patterns, diet, social life and self-esteem can be affected by the way their teeth appear. That’s why we take a comprehensive look at their mouth at each appointment.

We’ll check their tooth alignment, un-erupted teeth, go over speech concerns, evaluate for any signs of tooth decay or gingivitis and discuss if they have habits such as thumb sucking or finger sucking. We’ll also talk to them about their oral hygiene habits so that they can play a role in keeping their smile healthy. If any other forms of treatment are needed, we’ll discuss it with you so that you can decide how you would like to proceed.
